Russell County, Alabama - Much of Russell County outside of Phenix City is undeveloped and agriculture land where larger parcels of land from 1 acre up to 100 acres can be acquired with an existing home or for a custom built home.  Russell County is only 3 hours or less to the Florida beaches on the gulf coast.  In the center of Russell County in Seale, AL is the Russell County High School as well as a Recreational Sports Complex with youth ball fields.

Ft. Mitchell, Alabama - Located on the east side of Russell County near the Chattahoochee River is the unincorporated town of Ft. Mitchell which is experiencing enormous growth with numerous new subdivisions, restaurants and retail shopping being developed.  Ft. Mitchell has the best of both worlds for many with many modern amenities with some of the feel of country living.  There is a national cemetery and a historic museum and visitor center located there and you can also sit on you back deck and watch the Army Airborne troops parachute from airplanes.

Phenix City, Alabama - Located in the northwest corner of Russell County and partially in Lee County and just across the river from Columbus, Phenix City offers its residents options for schools, work, shopping and entertainment.  Phenix City has a rich history that caused a movie to be made called "The Phenix City Story"  (Dont worry, the streets are now safe).  Phenix City is well known for its beautiful river walk and amphitheater which host live concerts and events.

Lee County and Smiths Station, Alabama - This area has grown rapidly in the past 5 to 10 years increasing in population from 3500 to near 35,000 from 1990 to 2010.  Smiths Stations incorporated  a few years ago and offers quiet living with good amenities.  The area is popular for its well rated schools.

Columbus, Georgia -  Columbus is the largest city in the area and therefore offering more variety and choices for its residents.  The uptown area has been undergoing a "revitalization" with the addition of Columbus State university, the River Center for the Performing Arts, historic loft apartments with river views, numerous restaurants and night spots,  specialty retail shops for bicycling, rafting/kayaking/canoeing, and many more.  The uptown area also is home to many churches and the Springer Opera House.  South Columbus is also experiencing redevelopment with hotels and shopping and is close to Ft Benning.  There are many other areas in Columbus that each offer its residents something unique from a patio home just off I-185 to a lake front home on Lake Oliver.

Harris County - Harris County offers many benefits to its residents.  Some of those being the spacious lots and rural feel while being only just over an hour drive to Atlanta.  Harris County is also home to the beautiful Callaway Gardens and championship golf courses.

Don't Be Overwhelmed
